Anger at Pantmawr Inn Plans meeting
There was an excellent turnout at the meeting about the future of the Pantmawr Inn organised by Cllrs Jane Cowan and Adrian Robson.
People didn't want to loose the pub and the amenity this provides. " we have nothing on this estate except the pub"

Cllr Jayne Cowan said "it is outragous - we will be making very strong representations to the planning committee"

"clearly overdevelopment, 36 flats is too many" Many expressed concern about the number of parking places and the amount of extra traffic generated which would make life a nightmare for residents in the area. They already had problems with severe congestion.
"Concerns about drainage "Sewage will
come up" said one resident but the representative of the developers said thois was a matter up to Welsh Water"
Concern was expressed about the bats and what would happen to them,the spokes person for the developer said that they had been monitoring for a few nights and hadn't seen any! We need an expert to look and check it out. Cllr Andrian Robson said that the council had a ecologist who could be consulted.

A petition was launched. The new Pantmawr Inn residents group was announced. The first meeting will be next Tuesday at the Pantmawr Inn at 8.30.
